Perfectly Popped Homemade Popcorn
Forget the microwave! This perfectly popped homemade popcorn is the right way to make your own favorite theater snack.

  1. Put the oil in a pot with one or two popcorn kernels and put the lid on top. Wait until you hear the popcorn kernels pop.
  2. Once the kernels have popped the oil is heated. Pour in the 1/3 cup of kernels and put the lid back on top.
  3. Shake the pot gently back and forth in order to coat the kernels in the oil. Continue to do so while the popcorn pops.
  4. Once the pops begin to slow remove the pot from the heat.
  5. Pour into a bowl, sprinkle with salt and nutritional yeast, and enjoy!
Recipe Notes

I suggest coconut oil for this recipe, but I’ve heard canola oil will work. 

This should be enough popcorn for two people, unless you are a popcorn fiend like I am.
